I saw this dish on a traditional menu one day, thought I would recreate it here. It is very simple but very tasty. Best served over rice or rice noodles.
Ingredients
Minced Pork (300-500g)
Green Beans (Two large handfuls)
Onion (1 small)
Garlic (3-4 cloves)
Red Chilli Flakes (1 tbsp)
Dark Soy Sauce (1 tbsp)
Oyster Sauce (1 tbsp)
White Pepper (¼ tsp)
Canola Oil (1-2 tbsp)
Substitutions
Minced pork can be substituted ground pork.
Use desired dried chillies or chilli flakes.
Method
In a wok or large sautee pan dry cook the green beans for 5-10 minutes.
This helps bring out some of the moisture.
Remove and set aside.
Add oil on medium heat.
Once smoking hot, add minced garlic and sliced onions.
After a minute add the red chilli flakes for another minute, then push to the side.
Add the Pork and cook thoroughly in the seasoned oil.
Add soy sauce and oyster sauce, mix well.
Cook until the liquid is reduced and some pork bits develop some crispiness.
